2026 "I Will Follow" Reading Plan

As we begin 2026, we invite you to join our year-long Scripture Reading Plan centered on the theme “I Will Follow.” Each month, we’ll explore the life of a biblical character whose story shows what it truly means to follow God with trust, obedience, and surrender.

The plan includes a short monthly introduction and three to four Scripture passages designed to be approachable, reflective, and formative—helping us grow together as disciples of Jesus.

📖 Access the reading plan at nmp.church by clicking NMPC Reading Plan, or through the NMP.Church App.

VBS 2026
6/27/26
Palisades Park, NJ

After learning how to trust Jesus in this wild world, now it's time to explore the nature and character of God! We excitedly invite all of our friends in our Mercy Minis and Mercy Kids ministries to our annual Vacation Bible School event! We will enjoy a day-long affair together at our usual worship space.

Included in the day will be a special time for parents to come for family worship, prayer, and early dinner. We ask that parents drop off by 10:30AM and return to join us at 3PM!

To ensure that we prepare enough food, T-shirts, and activities, please be sure register all participating children.

When you register, select the number of tickets based on the number of children you will be sending. We also encourage our members to invite family & friends with children (who turned two years old by 9/30/25 through current 5th graders) to join us!

The Lord loves our children and commands us to be a community that grows with them, so our Sunday worship services as well as our annual VBS event are great opportunities for all of us to step into this calling. Please join our staff and volunteers in prayer as we prepare for this important time of ministry. May God open hearts, renew minds, and bless the next generation of God's people as they grow deeper in their knowledge of their Father in Heaven! (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

Generosity Encouraged
6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it is written:

“They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;
    their righteousness endures forever.”

10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

Corporate Prayer

Father,

Everything we have comes from you. Our lives, our abilities, our opportunities, our relationships, our resources — they are all gifts from your hand. Forgive us for the times we forget this and begin to believe that what we have belongs only to us.

We confess that money often has a stronger hold on our hearts than we realize. We look to it for security, comfort, identity, and control. We are often afraid to let go because we struggle to trust that you are a Father who knows what we need and provides for us.

Teach us to see generosity not as a burden, but as an invitation. Thank you that you do not need anything from us, and yet you invite us to partner with you in the work you are doing in this world. Help us to find joy in seeing our lives and our resources used for things that truly matter.

Shape our hearts to become more like the heart of Jesus — the one who held nothing back from us. Because he gave himself fully for us, help us to live with open hands. Free us from serving money so that we might serve you. And may the way we give reflect the grace and generosity we have first received from you.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Amen.
