2026 "I Will Follow" Reading Plan
As we begin 2026, we invite you to join our year-long Scripture Reading Plan centered on the theme “I Will Follow.” Each month, we’ll explore the life of a biblical character whose story shows what it truly means to follow God with trust, obedience, and surrender.
The plan includes a short monthly introduction and three to four Scripture passages designed to be approachable, reflective, and formative—helping us grow together as disciples of Jesus.
📖 Access the reading plan at nmp.church by clicking NMPC Reading Plan, or through the NMP.Church App.

Koinonia Prayer Night
5/22/26
Join us for our next Koinonia Prayer Night on Friday, May 22 @ 7PM. To ensure enough food is prepared, please be sure to RSVP.
Koinonia in Greek means "fellowship." In the Bible, however, fellowship means much more than what modern Christians have made it. It involves intimacy in relationship and a deep spiritual camaraderie that involves prayer, mutual encouragement & edification, and the breaking of bread. This prayer night is designed to reflect the spirit of that word and to meet people where they are, similar to what we see in the Book of Acts.

VBS 2026
6/27/26
Palisades Park, NJ
After learning how to trust Jesus in this wild world, now it's time to explore the nature and character of God! We excitedly invite all of our friends in our Mercy Minis and Mercy Kids ministries to our annual Vacation Bible School event! We will enjoy a day-long affair together at our usual worship space.
Included in the day will be a special time for parents to come for family worship, prayer, and early dinner. We ask that parents drop off by 10:30AM and return to join us at 3PM!
To ensure that we prepare enough food, T-shirts, and activities, please be sure register all participating children.
When you register, select the number of tickets based on the number of children you will be sending. We also encourage our members to invite family & friends with children (who turned two years old by 9/30/25 through current 5th graders) to join us!
The Lord loves our children and commands us to be a community that grows with them, so our Sunday worship services as well as our annual VBS event are great opportunities for all of us to step into this calling. Please join our staff and volunteers in prayer as we prepare for this important time of ministry. May God open hearts, renew minds, and bless the next generation of God's people as they grow deeper in their knowledge of their Father in Heaven! (Deuteronomy 6:4-7)

Sermon
Shapes & Sizes - "Doubting Thomas?"
Speaker
Kee Won Huh
Scripture
John 20:24-28
Jesus Appears to Thomas
24 Now Thomas (also known as Didymus), one of the Twelve, was not with the disciples when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!”
But he said to them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”
26 A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 27 Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”
28 Thomas said to him, “My Lord and my God!”
Corporate Prayer
Father,
We come before you as people who want to follow Jesus, yet often find ourselves carrying questions, fears, confusion, and doubts along the way. Thank you that you are not shocked by our struggles, nor do you turn away from us when our faith feels weak or uncertain. Thank you for the story of Thomas, and for the reminder that disciples do not all follow you in the same way. Some follow with bold confidence, others with trembling questions, and many of us with a mixture of both.
Lord, thank you that Jesus did not shame Thomas for his honesty. Thank you that you are a God who welcomes truthfulness. You do not ask us to pretend, to perform, or to fake certainty we do not possess. You invite us to bring our real selves before you — our confusion, our skepticism, our disappointments, our wounds, and even the questions we are afraid to say out loud.
For those among us who feel like Thomas today, give them courage to keep seeking. For those who have experienced pain, betrayal, disappointment, or loss that has made belief difficult, meet them gently where they are. For those wrestling with whether you are good, whether you are near, whether you are even real, draw close to them as you drew close to Thomas. Speak peace into anxious hearts. Lead struggling faith into deeper understanding.
And Lord, guard us from the kind of doubt that hardens itself against you — the kind that does not really want truth, but only distance. Give us humble hearts that genuinely seek you. Make us people who are willing to ask hard questions, but also willing to listen for your voice.
Jesus, thank you that you are patient with fearful people, confused people, wounded people, and skeptical people. Thank you that your desire is not to crush unbelief with condemnation, but to lead us patiently toward faith.
Teach us to follow you honestly. Teach us to trust that transparency is not weakness before you. Remind us that faith is not pretending to have no doubts, but continuing to bring ourselves to you in the middle of them.
And as we walk with you, bring us to the same confession Thomas finally made: “My Lord and my God.” May our questions ultimately lead us deeper into worship, deeper into truth, and deeper into love for Christ.
We pray all this in the name of Jesus, who is the way, the truth, and the life.
Amen.
