About NMPC
New Mercy Palisades Church is a growing church in Bergen County, NJ, and a member of ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians—a vibrant, gospel-centered denomination committed to building flourishing churches that make disciples of Jesus.

About the Role
The Mercy Minis Director will lead our growing children’s ministry for ages 2 to 5, working alongside our Education Pastor and volunteer team to disciple and care for the children of NMPC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Mercy Minis on Sundays, including Sunday service activities and after-service programming.
  • Develop & implement curriculum to foster spiritual growth among young children.
  • Create annual plans & goals that align with NMPC’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers in collaboration with the Education Pastor.
  • Communicate ministry needs and initiatives with the pastoral team.
  • Assist with church-wide events such as VBS, Easter, and Christmas celebrations.
  • Support parents in their role as spiritual leaders for their children.
  • Attend monthly core team meetings and actively participate in the life of the church.

Qualifications
  • A strong commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to grow as His disciple.
  • A clear calling to local church ministry, especially children’s ministry.
  • Experience working with children’s ministry or student ministry (preferred).
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with families.
  • A team player who can collaborate with the pastoral team and ministry leaders.
